Retreat to an island.... an opportunity not to be missed!
Our next Centre weekend retreat will be on Flat Holme Island - situated half was between Barry and Minehead in the Bristol Channel, probably the nearest we can get to a true wilderness experience on our doorstep. When the boat leaves after embarking, you feel like you're in another world.
The flora and fauna there is unique, and there is also quite a bit of interesting history to this island going back to the Bronze Age.

The boat will depart at about 6pm on the Friday September 10th, and return on the Sunday about 6pm. These departure and arrival times are a little different than our usual weekend, and it will be important to be on time for the outward boat, as it is very reliant on tide times -- the precise departure/return times will be announced closer to the event. The boat leaves from Cardiff Bay Leisure Centre, there is plenty of free parking there.
The Buddhist Centre has to pay up front for the weekend, so we are asking for a non-returnable deposit of £50.00 (this covers the cost of accommodation and the boat fare).
The total cost will be £60.00 for non-waged, £80.00 for low income earners and £100 for fully waged. We are expecting this to be a popular retreat, so the earlier you book the better.
