Invitation from Tamonuda and Elaine to the
Wheel of Life Course
starting Monday, 8th May, a four week course ending on 5th June (no session on Monday 29th May.)
The course will explore this traditional Buddhist representation of what drives us as human beings, as well as giving us the opportunity to meditate and explore ideas together.
The Wheel of Life is a visual mandala developed over many hundreds of years. It started in India with the Buddha and his followers as a teaching aid and was then developed in more detail when it was taken to Tibet. It’s not just a painting it is a fascinating journey into the basics of Buddhism using metaphors, imagery and a profound knowledge of how we perceive and process the world around us. It could be viewed as a reflection of how we work in the everyday world. It also shows us a way “off the wheel”, how to recognise and change what drives us, and the positive effect this has on us.
This four week course is open to anyone who has attended the Introduction to Buddhism Course or anyone who wishes to take their knowledge of the Wheel of Life deeper It commences on Monday 8th May, 7:30pm start. Open for a cuppa at 7.
Cost: £50 or £30 unwaged. Under 25’s on a dana basis (contribute what you can afford)
